I have been told in the past; that people want to understand me and they want to help me. Sometimes, words can get in the way. Unfortunately, words are all I have to express what I'm trying to say. So, I'll put it in the form of a poem.
"As soon as we're born It starts with a name"
You don't understand
And I can't explain
The fires, desires
That run through my veins
You don't understand
And I can't explain
Words make it worse
They drive me insane
You don't understand
And I can't explain
It happens so fast
The fear and the blame
You don't understand
And I can't explain
We speak the same language
But not the same way
You don't understand
And I can't explain
The hate for myself
Just gets in the way
You don't understand
And I can't explain
The shame, the fear,
The endless disdain
You don't understand
And I can't explain
It arrives uninvited
And won't go away
You don't understand
And I can't explain
It comes from a trauma
So deeply ingrained
You don't understand
And I can't explain
I was lied to and told
That it will all be OK
You don't understand
And I can't explain
How hard it can be
To face you today
You don't understand
And I can't explain
The ticking clock
That run fast in my brain
You don't understand
And I can't explain
How much that I care
In so many ways
You don't understand
And I can't explain
How every day life can
Get in my way
You don't understand
And I can't explain
I get in a flow
It gets taken away
You don't understand
And I can't explain
There's other like me
They need me to stay
You don't understand
And I can't explain
Science has tried
And miserably failed
You don't understand
Because you try to explain
The puzzle of us
Drives you insane
You don't understand
Because you try to explain
As soon as we're born
It starts with a name
Look in my eyes and you will find me
Not a word needs spoken
Look long enough and you will see
A Man on Fire and far from broken
Training for the fight of his life.

JOIN THE SOCIAL EXPERIMENT! Swear to Care about mental health! The Social Experiment - The Destruction of Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria This group dedicated to exposing ourselves to the triggers that we need to fight. Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria is a major component of ADHD and other anxiety related disorders. By feeling free enough to swear profusely in a group full of people that live all around the world we allow ourselves to get angry and ride through it.
"The freedom to swear and not be judged for it has saved my life" - Archbishop Frank Williams (AKA "Anonymous?")
The Unexpected Benefit
We also get the opportunity to understand other points of view once we get past it. I have found that my previous knee jerk reactions are usually 100% wrong. We can have different opinions and make the BEST friends with the some amazing people!!
Our goal is not to persuade anyone to change. Our goal is to expand our minds and slowly expose ourselves to triggers that usually throw us into a rage that we usually just hold in.
The Power of Swearing is more powerful than you can think!!
How minds change is dedicated to new philosophies, poetry, music, and any form of media that is intended to provide new perspectives on mental health.
Looking for mutually beneficial relationships that just so happen to help my cause. Thank you for reading.
